Meet xbiagi! This week we highlight a special member of our PetziFamily. Anthony of the xbiagi family is a Cyber Systems Operator for the United States Air Force, father of four beautiful canine babies, and an avid Petzi-from-work user. We thank him and his family for their service to our country.
Payton and Anthony live in Texas near the Air Force base in San Antonio. They moved there from Ohio for Anthony’s job and have been there for about a year. They didn’t start out as dog people, despite their rambunctious four at home now. They each had a cat for the majority of their lives and they both passed away one right after the other. When their feline best friends left them they both agreed they weren’t able to bring themselves to replacing that loss in their lives and that’s when they decided to switch to dogs.
Aliyah, a beautiful black American bulldog, is 3 years old and runs the roost. “She’s the momma,” Payton shares, “a lover.” Aliyah was their first dog and brings a smile to her mom’s face when Payton talks about her. She came to them by way of Payton’s father. Someone came into her dad’s work with a bag of dog food and a litter of puppies.
Then there is Khalessi, a white American bulldog going through her Terrible Twos. She can get very excited and hyper, Payton describes, “she goes nuts”. Her favorite thing to do in the morning is stretch and roll all over Payton’s face to wake her up. I guess that’s one way to say good morning! She has calmed as she has gotten older, Payton tells me, and she is very protective. With the Petzi, Payton has caught her doing this ritual: looking out the front door then checking the bedroom then taking a walk around the kitchen island and back again; “She makes her rounds and covers all her bases, keeping an eye on everyone.”
Lola is the drama queen and loves attention. At just one year old (at the end of this month) she can be a little possessive and bad at sharing her parents with her siblings. She has bonded nicely with Abel, though, the baby of the family.
6 month old Abel was a rescue who worked his way into the family. Making the call that 3 bulldogs at home was more than enough, Payton and Anthony were not looking for a 4th dog but Abel was going to be put down so they decided they couldn’t leave the sweet chocolate-colored Catahoula Cur behind. Payton says he can be destructive but “I won’t giving up on him,” she declares.
In fact, little Abel is the reason they got the Petzi Treat Cam. Concerned about what would happen if they left him to his own devices, Anthony did some research on pet cams and came across Petzi. “Petzi had the best Amazon reviews” and that’s what made them join our PetziFamily. They love checking in from work and it’s saved them a few times too. Payton told me the story of when she and Anthony tried to go out one night. Halfway to the restaurant they logged in to check in on the pups and saw that Abel had gotten out and had started to destroy the house. They were able to turn right around before too much damage was done and Petzi saved the day!
When he’s not destroying the house Abel enjoys playing tag around the kitchen island with his big sisters. Check out this cute home video Anthony and Payton shared with us.
Payton and Anthony are a young couple but they really do feel like the dogs are like children to them. With all the responsibilities of feeding them, making sure they get their exercise and loving them to pieces, they really are just a happy family. We love the fun pictures they post on PetziSocial. Thanks for working to keep us safe and make us smile everyday!
